About me

Hello and welcome!

A twenty-something born and bred Londoner. I was born and grew up in West London, but have recently migrated East. Its not that I don't like West London, but there just seems to be so much happening in East London right now, especially for a vintage loving gal!

I would describe myself as a dedicated everyday wearer of vintage. My preferred era is the late 40s to early 50s. I think this style just suits me best, and I get to wear the best of my two favourite decades!

I am slightly obsessive about shoes, (but isn't every girl?) and I own a pretty frock or two. If I could afford to wear top to toe vintage everyday then I would, but I adore some of the amazing reproduction clothing that is available at the moment, and its great to be able to just throw it in the washing machine and not have to worry about damaging it.

My vintage life started with the music. I am a 50s girl through and through when it comes to music. Doo Wop makes me melt.
I am lucky enough to have the bestest friends a gal could ever want. The Vintage Mafia are a power house of amazingness; superb vintage style, buckets of fun, and supreme hotness. I advise you to seek out their blogs and follow (but you probably already do).

If you read Yesterday Girl regularly then you'll know that I'm lucky enough to work in a very interesting place; the Churchill War Rooms. I literally spend my days immersed in, and surrounded by history.

This blog is nothing more than a record of my vintage adventures: clothes, friends, outings, hair and beauty, interesting discoveries and pretty things.

Enjoy!
