Made in Britain! Dig This...Clothing

You are probably aware that I am a great fan of British manufacturing, and championing small businesses that make their products here on our fair isle, so I am delighted to welcome new sponsor Dig This...Clothing. There aren't all that many repro companies that offer British made, well produced and also authentic looking clothing, so it's always good to add a new shop to the list.

Here is our very own Fleur modelling some of the pretty things available now from Dig This...

Dig This…Clothing specialize in Men’s and Ladies 1940’s and 50’s vintage style clothing. With our ideas, enthusiasm and attention to detail, we aim to supply high quality reproductive clothing ranging from beachwear to jackets.  We are currently the only franchise in providing the new and exciting Dig This …Clothing brand and in addition we intend to bring other brand name favourites to our site

As well as their own creations they also stock Bettie Page and Heartbreaker Clothing so you can shop all in one place! I have my eye on the Dig This...tartan pencil skirt and Monaco dress. I think their men's clothing is particularly impressive as not that many companies make good authentic men's clothing, and they have some great shirts created from original patterns that look stylish and well made.

If you are here in the UK and are going to buy repro, then buy British! Especially with the increase in international shipping costs from the States, there has never been a better time to support home grown companies!

  1. There offerings are so, so appealing! Those swing trousers in particular are (not so quietly!) calling my name.

  2. This is brilliant news. Britain's heritage is steeped in textile and clothing manufacturing, and l think we need to go back to our routes if we are going to ever get out of this recession and have long term sustainable growth. We have brilliant designers and many people (vintage or not) are fed up with buying Hugh street clothing that washes poorly or rips at the seams in a few uses. W/e need to stop all this ridiculous latest must have throw away fashion and get back to well made, beautiful clothes that can be cherished for years to come. Anyway...I'll get off my soap box now!
