Sale and Social

This Sunday The Vintage Mafia and friends will be once again taking over that lovely little Shoreditch diner, The Love Shake, and selling off some of our own vintage and repro clothes. Unfortunately, it's the last sale of the year (boo!) however we will not only be joined by the ravishing Red Legs, but also by the incurably glamorous Harriet, and Auntie Maureen will be bringing her collection of menswear for the vintage loving man in your life. What more could you want on a Sunday afternoon?

If you are in London on Sunday and have considered joining us, lets hope that this snapshot of the last sale will push you into making an affirmative decision regarding your attendance.

You may notice from these pics, that since I last blogged many moons ago, I have cut my hair. It all got a bit hot stick frazzled and I woke up one morning with scissors glinting in my eye. Sounds a little manic, and I suppose it was, the urge to chop was unbearable, and I am left with a cute 50s do which feels soooo much healthier. I will probably grow it back to shoulder lengthy, but it definitely needed a good chop for health's sake. Whaddayathink?

Thanks to Hanson Leatherby for the lovely photos

Hope to see you there at the Love Shake, Shoreditch, this Sunday between 4pm and 7pm

  2. As always this makes me with I was in London. I love the new do too! (I recently took a good 5 inches of frazzled ends of my hair too so it's nice seeing short hair inspiration!)

  3. That length looks fabulous on you! It always feels so nice to chop off tired hair bits, too.

Love the photos. How funny to spy American license plates on the wall in the background of one of them. :)

  6. Love the hair! And on the frazzled: I use perm papers or toilet tissue squares on the ends. NO amount of "heat protectant" product protects like an actual, physical barrier between the curler and the hair. Also makes for less frizzy ends and better curl structure, since you are beginning rolling at the absolute end of the hair. And it doesn't take away from the curl. Takes some practice at first, but I am completely unable to roll a roller any other way now.
