What a Strumpet!

On this grey Sunday evening I am absolutely delighted to be able to introduce you to my lovely new sponsors, Hello Strumpet. The super talented Kitty and Wanda are the makers of fabulous vintage inspired hats, collars and accessories for the most glamorous of vintage loving lovelies.

A word from our sponsors....

Having had such fun with scissors as children, Kitty DuBois & Wanda Von Wink continue their love affair with all things lacy, frilly, tweedy and delicious with their own accessories collection - Strumpet! They long for the days when hat wearing was de rigueur and ladies made a real commitment to glamour on a daily basis.  Inspired by Hollywood starlets, 1930's travel, Agatha Christie novels and turn of the century magic, spiritualism and sideshows they create tiny cocktail hats for all occasions – weddings, bar mitzvahs, cruise liner launches or indeed, all day, everyday - with a distinctly vintage look providing affordable glamour for every gal! They carefully source top quality heritage fabrics - harris tweed, cotton velvet, liberty prints - along with re-loved vintage fabrics and trims and hand-make all of their pieces at their salon in Edinburgh. They also make cute Peter Pan collars which add a touch of vintage glamour to any tight sweater and are about to add adorable ankle spats to their autumn/ winter range. Shop online at: Hellostrumpet.etsy.com or visit their blog: thedailystrumpet.wordpress.com for more details

Their fine handcrafted products speak for themselves...

The Minnie
The Fay
The Amelia
The Mamie

Tallulah Ankle Spats

I think my favourites are the Minnie and the Mamie, what about you? They have an absolutely beautiful selection of collars too, which I think are such a good idea to add a touch of glamour to brighten up a plain sweater or cardigan. If you're getting married soon, and  haven't decided on headwear yet, then definitely check out their collection of bridal hats. Stunning.

I love Strumpet's use of fabrics too, you can't go wrong with Harris Tweed and Liberty prints!

So ladies, if you are in the market for something beautiful and handmade, for either yourself or a friend, then pay a visit to Scotland's super Strumpet's Kitty and Wanda and their amazing shop here
