Well hello there,
I have been banished from London for the last week and a half due to some unfortunate circumstances and I missed the Vintage Mafia's Sunday Sale and Social, but I hope that those of you that went had fun and managed to bag yourself a bargain or two.
If you follow the Vintage Mafia on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr, (if you do, thanks!) you will know that we have been getting very excited about our first club night The Ric Rac Club, which takes place on Saturday 10th September.
We are all super excited, but also a little nervous. We've tried really hard to think up something a little different. There are lots of great club nights and events that vintage-istas can attend if they want to be amongst people who dress with impeccable vintage style, listen to great bands and dance the night away. However we felt that there can be alot of pressure at these nights to look the part and know the dance moves, which can be a little scary if you are just getting into the vintage scene. So, we wanted to bring together lots of our favourite people, those that have been on the scene for years, and those who haven't. We want to give the kind of people that send us messages saying that they dont know where to meet people who have the same vintage interests an opportunity to come along and say hello to a bunch of fun loving gals who will be happy to introduce them to lots of friendly people.
We will be having a go at DJing ourselves, there will be fun impromptu solo dance lessons (so no pressure to be left without a partner!), an amazing FREE raffle, FREE booze and fun, fun fun!!
If you want to come along, you can book tickets here in advance for the bargainous price of £8, or pay £10 on the door. Or you can reserve yourself an £8 ticket on the door by e-mailing talk@thevintagemafia.com and adding yourself to the reserve list.
If you are one of those lovely people who are new to the scene and doesn't have anyone to go with, feel free to drop me an e-mail and let me know that you'll be attending solo, and I'll make sure that I personally will introduce you to other people who I think you'll get along with.
If you don't know what to expect, here is evidence of other Vintage Mafia nights out, so you can see how it usually ends up....if you think you might like to join us in this extreme silliness, then book your tickets now, they are selling fast!!
Ok, you get the idea! Hope to see you there!! xxx

Aimee and myself have reserved our tickets, we can't wait! Also just to let you know we are both more than happy to show some new comers the ropes, as long as they can put up with our gin soaked nattering! x
ReplyDeleteSadly I have a prior engagement (sulks) ... I do hope the Ric Rac Club takes off and you run another one soon though!
ReplyDeleteI do hope it's a fabulous night and I think it's truly lovely that you're inviting people along solo too and introducing them to people, lovely idea
