A Struggle......and a frock

Yes...unfortunately that is what blogging feels like this week. I have been off work ill (with both a stomach bug and chest infection???...FML) and spent three days trying to write up my blog post for the Royal Wedding day and the long weekend. I give up. Something annoying is going on with my computer/blogger and it won't let me upload certain pictures, which would simply make the blog post a big long rambling load of words and nothing pretty to look at. So while I can't upload those pictures, I can, at the moment still upload this picture of my newest Swirl dress. While I'm feeling miserable and sorry for myself, its the little things in life (namely pretty vintage frocks) that still have the ability to make me smile.

My gorgeous 1950s frock has big bunches of grapes printed in orange and pink. It is slightly shorter than I would like but luckily has enough fabric on the hem for me to take down. I am wearing my Rocket Originals Judy shoes.

The photo is taken at the RHS Wisley gardens where we went on Sunday to see Gemma sing with the Panama Cafe Orchestra. She of course looked stunning and sounded superb.

After we watched Gem sing, we frolicked around the rockery and in the long grass and generally just enjoyed being somewhere beautiful outside London. Apart from the chilly wind, it was a beautiful day!

Right! Back to bed for me ;-)

What a gorgeous outfit. I've been saying it for years but I really need a pair of Rocket Org. shoes.

  7. Lovely dress, I love Swirls too! I find it a bit annoying when people alter things to a shorter length and remove the excess seam allowance. So far I have been lucky with the Swirls I do have as they have been taken up by someone kind who left the original seam allowance so they can be let back down. Hope you feel better soon :-)

I love the grapes on that skirt and the orange and olive tones work fantastically together. Perfect for a spring jaunt to the country. :)
