Hair Yesterday Gone Today

I finally made way to Nina's Hair Parlour after far too long. The result of not having my hair cut for about 6 months was about 3 inches of dead ends, frizz, and general difficulty when styling and brushing. Too much Hot Stick-ing! I wasn't sure how much I wanted to get cut off, but once I was in the chair I decided to go for it, and asked for a much shorter horse shoe shape cut, styling more towards the 50s. I actually had it styled much sleaker and more like a pageboy, but last night I set it and this was the result. I still need to play around with styling a bit more. So, whaddayathink?

  4. This is exactly what I want! Can you please post a picture where you can see how your hair is cut, when it's 'flat'? Because when I'm at the hairdresser, I never know what to ask for. Thanks!

  7. It really suits you! Styling short hair at first is definitely a challenge. I really like the tight curls on you, but would love to see the pageboy too.

  9. It looks fab, I love my shorted hair, so much easier to keep set, so easy to do, but no laziness by just tying it back ever!!

  17. It looks great! I need a haircut too, so badly. I also really really need a set of hot sticks (two sets actually, for my excessive hair)

  18. RE: Hot Sticks.
I still have my original set from the 80s! My parents were both hairdressers and being the only girl, I had my hair done. A Lot. They used toilet paper as end papers when they rolled my hair with heat (like you would with a perm) to protect it. I still do that. Also keeps the ends from getting odd kinks.
