Saturday night was rather wonderful as I got to meet a whole host of lovely people, including beautiful blogger, Stefanie Valentine. Stefanie and I had been trying to organise a little vintage day out for a while and I thought that no better vintage outing than the birthday festivities of the lovely Miss de Guerre. So after meeting my gorgeous new pal on the platform at Paddington Station (how very vintage), we made our way to The Punch Tavern, in the shadow of St Paul's Cathedral, a perfectly picked venue.
As you can see Stefanie was sporting the most superb 'up do' of which I was very jealous, (I will be practising it Stef!) and a beautiful suit that she purchased from Adeline's Attic which suits her (geddit?) to a T!
As you can see from this picture, which we attempted to take by ourselves at least 3 times, Stefanie photographs far better than me, I look like I've just eaten something that is too big for my mouth!
There were, unsurprisingly, some very stylish people in attendence. Fleur was wearing the most stupendously gorgeous Swirl dress, which is pink with adorable little bows! And this stylish lady, Kezia, is wearing a reproduction blouse from NudeeDudee, that me and Stefanie were both particuarly jealous of. The finish on the blouse is top notch, as it is adorned with gorgeous little vintage bakelite buttons! I want one now...please! We were also treated to some Burlesque, and of course...cake!
I wish I had taken a better photo of my new Vintage 50s shirtwaister dress that I wore because it's fab, but maybe I can do that on a seperate post.In fact I wish I had taken more photos full stop. Oh well, let's see what Stefanie and Fleur have to show us ...

eeeeee!!! This is beyond wonderful. How I wish I could have transported myself there to meet you gorgeous gals. You looked spectacular! I'm so proud Stef wore her amazing suit from my shop. And of course, as I am a proud owner of that very same nudeedudee plaid blouse, I cannot help but agree that it's the bee's knees. What a spectacular evening!!
ReplyDeleteYaaaay! What a fantastic night! And I think you photograph better than me, remember that awful, but hilarious photo of me?! We look so good in our photos, though I say so myself! We must practise our victory rolls though :) xxx

ReplyDeleteEeee, you all look so amazing!!! Lovely, lovely. Sounds like a great time was had by all. That's funny, I have a pic of a friend and I in vintage yellow gowns also--it's the hot new thing!!
ReplyDelete:) Thank you a million for coming! Just posted on Stefanie's blog that both of your pics are better than mine, not to mention up before mine... I might just not bother! It will be a bit longer until I can update anyway so thank you for showing off my fab dress to the world. Especially since I ripped it later that night :( xx
ReplyDeleteOh no!I just shed a tear for the dress :( xxx
ReplyDeleteLuckily it's not irrepairable - I drunkenly caught a pocket on the bathroom doorhandle and it ripped off about 2 inches, sadly not just the stitching, which stayed put on the pocket and instead left a tear in the fabric! Nooo! But Mr Whistling Tailor is going to mend it for me and it will be almost as good as new :) xx
ReplyDeletePS thank you also for my AMAZING pinny! Ooh it looks awesome even hanging in my kitchen, can't wait to actually wear it... must bake something especially! xx
ReplyDeleteHow awesome! I wish there were more bloggers in my area, a meet up sound s like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteFleur: You see, it pays to have a Tailor on your arm!And providing you with a pinny that matches your kitchen is an absolute pleasure!x
ReplyDeleteTami Lee: I know, I wish we could have an international blogger meet up! x

ReplyDelete看看blog放鬆一下,工作累死了.................................................................
